EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends the Fixed Penalty (Amendment) Order 2013 (“the main instrument”) to correct an error and is therefore being issued free of charge to all known recipients of the main instrument.
The main instrument amends the Fixed Penalty Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/2792, “the 2000 Order”) which prescribes fixed penalties for fixed penalty offences.
The effect of Article 2 is to substitute an amended item 27 and a new item 28 in the table at Schedule 1 to the 2000 Order with the effect that the fixed penalty amount for parking offences outside Greater London remains unaltered at £30.
A full impact assessment of the effect that the main instrument will have on the costs for the business and voluntary sectors has been produced and is available from the Road User Licensing, Insurance, and Safety Division, Department for Transport, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 4DR (telephone 020 7944 4715). That impact assessment and an Explanatory Memorandum relating to the main instrument are available alongside the instrument on the UK Legislation website,www.legislation.gov.uk.
A further Explanatory Memorandum relating specifically to this Order is available alongside this instrument on the UK Legislation website, www.legislation.gov.uk.
