The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 150(3) and (4)(a) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012[^f00001], makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (Commencement No. 12) Order 2013.
Appointed day
2
31st October 2013 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 66 (trainees) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012, in so far as it is not already in force.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order is the 12th Commencement Order made under the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (c.5).
Section 66 of that Act (trainees) came into force on 30th October 2012 for the purpose only of exercising any power to make regulations: see article 2(5) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2012 (S.I.2012/2530, C.102).
Article 2 of this Order brings that section into force on 31st October 2013 for all remaining purposes.
