The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in the exercise of the power conferred by section 182(4) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009[^f00001].

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 16) Order 2013.

Commencement of provisions of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009

Section 148 (security in tribunal buildings) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 is commenced on 18th November 2013.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order commences section 148 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, which contains a power for the Lord Chancellor to make an order allowing for the designation of tribunal security officers and to apply the provisions in Part 4 of the Courts Act 2003 (c.39) relating to court security to tribunals.
