The Pensions Act 2004 (Commencement No. 15) Order 2014

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 315(2) and 322(1) of the Pensions Act 2004[^f00001].

This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 2004 (Commencement No. 15) Order 2014.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 121(9)(b) (insolvency event, insolvency date and insolvency practitioner), 138(10)(a) (payment of scheme benefits) and 161(3)(b) (effect of Board assuming responsibility for a scheme) of the Pensions Act 2004 is 25th June 2014.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force sections 121(9)(b), 138(10)(a) and 161(3)(b) of the Pensions Act 2004 (c. 35) (“the Act”) on 25th June 2014. The provisions brought into force concern the operation of the Board of the Pension Protection Fund, a body corporate established by section 107 of the Act.
A full impact assessment has not been prepared for this Order as no impact on the private, public or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
