Coming into force: 24th July 2014

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16, 17 and 19 of the Highways Act 1980[^f00001] and now vested in the Secretary of State[^f00002] and[^f00003]:—

This scheme may be cited as The M1 Motorway (A5 – M1 Link Dunstable Northern Bypass Connecting Roads) Scheme 2014 and shall come into force on 24 July 2014.

In this Scheme:

The Secretary of State is authorised to provide the special roads for the exclusive use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980.

The centre line of each of the special roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan.

Each of the special roads shall become a trunk road on the date when this Scheme comes into force.

The routes of the slip roads are as follows:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order authorises construction of new lengths of slip roads, to connect the north bound and south bound M1 Motorway with a roundabout constructed as part of the A5 Trunk Road at Chalton in the county of Bedfordshire.

The routes of the slip roads are as follows:
