The Adoption and Children Act 2002 (Commencement No. 12) Order 2014

Made: 22nd July 2014

The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 148(1) of the Adoption and Children Act 2002[^f00001], after consultation with the Welsh Ministers[^f00002] and the Scottish Ministers[^f00003].

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Adoption and Children Act 2002 (Commencement No. 12) Order 2014.

Appointed day

2

25th July 2014 is the appointed day for the coming into force of sections 125 to 128, 129 and 131 of the Adoption and Children Act 2002[^f00004].

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order is the twelfth Commencement Order made under the Adoption and Children Act 2002.

Article 2 brings into force on 25th July 2014 sections 125 to 128, 129 and 131 of that Act.

These sections provide for the establishment and maintenance of the Adoption and Children Act Register and extend to England and Wales.
