The Public Service Vehicles (Operators’ Licences) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2014

Coming into force: 1st October 2014

In determining the amount of fees specified in these Regulations, the Secretary of State has taken into account the costs of the functions listed in paragraphs 7 to 9 of Schedule 1 to the Department for Transport (Fees) Order 2009[^f00003] and has taken into account the matters listed in Schedule 2 to that Order in determining the costs of those functions.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Operators’ Licences) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st October 2014.

Amendment of Regulations

• (1) The Public Service Vehicles (Operators’ Licences) (Fees) Regulations 1995[^f00004] are amended as follows.

• (2) In column 3 of the Schedule —

• (a) in relation to fee numbers (i) and (ii), for “£206” substitute “£209”;

• (b) in relation to fee number (v), for “£121” substitute “£122”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the fees charged for public service vehicle operator licences granted under Part II of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981.

Fee changes, together with the percentage increase, are shown in the table below. The fees were last increased or decreased on 1st April 2012.

Fees for a special licence application and the continuation in force of a special licence remain the same.

An impact assessment of the effect that this instrument will have on the costs of business and the voluntary sector is available from the DVSA Corporate Office, Berkeley House, Croydon Street, Bristol BS5 0DA (telephone: 0117 954 3200). A copy has been placed in the library of each House of Parliament. The impact assessment is annexed to the Explanatory Memorandum which is available alongside the instrument on www.legislation.gov.uk. DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) was formed on 1st April 2014 following the merger of VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) with the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) to form a single entity.
