The Bathing Water (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2014

Coming into force: 1st October 2014

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section of that Act.

Title, commencement and application

• (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Bathing Water (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st October 2014.

• (2) These Regulations apply to England.

Amendment of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013

• (1) Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013[^f00003] is amended as follows

• (2) In the appropriate places, insert the following—

• (a) “Ainsdale”;

• (b) “Allonby”;

• (c) “Crinnis”;

• (d) “Henleaze Lake”;

• (e) “Shoreham Beach”;

• (f) “Shorthorn”;

• (g) “Southsea East”.

• (3) Omit the following—

• (a) “Askam-in-Furness”;

• (b) “Crinnis Golf Links”;

• (c) “Crinnis Leisure Centre”;

• (d) “Roan Head”

• (e) “Southsea”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Bathing Water Regulations 2013 (“the Regulations”).

Part 1 of Schedule 2 the Regulations is updated to include waters which have been identified by the Secretary of State as bathing waters in England, to omit those waters which are no longer identified as bathing waters and to amend the names of certain bathing waters.

No impact assessment has been prepared in relation to these Regulations as no impact on business or the voluntary sectors is foreseen.
