The Police Act 1997 (Commencement No. 12) (England and Wales) Order 2014

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 135 of the Police Act 1997[^f00001], makes the following Order.
Citation and extent

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Police Act 1997 (Commencement No. 12) (England and Wales) Order 2014.
- (2) This Order extends to England and Wales.
Commencement

Section 112 of the Police Act 1997[^f00002] (criminal conviction certificates) shall come into force on 10th March 2014.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force section 112 of the Police Act 1997 in respect of England and Wales. Section 112 of that Act provides for the Disclosure and Barring Service to provide a criminal conviction certificate to an applicant who pays the prescribed fee.
