The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2014
Made: 10th September 2014
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 185(1) of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014[^f00001], makes the following Order:
Citation and interpretation

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2014.
- (2) In this Order “the 2014 Act” means the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Provision coming into force on 17th September 2014

Section 96 of the 2014 Act (review requirements for new ground) comes into force on 17th September 2014 for the purpose of making regulations under section 85ZA(7) of the Housing Act 1985[^f00002].
Provisions coming into force on 1st October 2014

The following provisions of the 2014 Act come into force on 1st October 2014—
- (a) sections 136, 138 and 139 (Independent Police Complaints Commission);
- (b) section 181(1) (amendments), insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 11 specified in paragraph (c);
- (c) in Schedule 11 (minor and consequential amendments), the following paragraphs—
- (i) paragraph 93;
- (ii) paragraph 95(1) insofar as it relates to the provisions specified in sub-paragraph (iii);
- (iii) paragraph 95(2), (7), (8) and (9).
Provision coming into force on 6th October 2014

Section 174 of the 2014 Act (Criminal Procedure Rules to apply to extradition proceedings etc) comes into force on 6th October 2014.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force various provisions of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Article 2 brings into force a provision relating to the recovery of possession of dwelling houses on anti-social behaviour grounds, for the purpose of making regulations under section 85ZA(7) of the Housing Act 1985. Section 85ZA(7) makes provision for the Secretary of State to make regulations concerning the procedure to be followed in connection with the review of a decision of a landlord to seek an order for possession of a dwelling house under section 84A of the Housing Act 1985.
Article 3 brings into force provisions relating to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Article 4 brings into force a provision relating to Criminal Procedure Rules applying to extradition proceedings.
