The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 139(6) of the Children and Families Act 2014[^f00001].

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Children and Families Act 2014 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2014.

Provisions coming into force on 1st October 2014

Sections 91 to 95 of the Children and Families Act 2014 come into force on 1st October 2014 for the purposes of making orders or regulations only.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force provisions of the Children and Families Act 2014 (c.6) (“the 2014 Act”) on 1st October 2014. Certain provisions came into force on the passing of the 2014 Act. Provisions commenced by previous Commencement Orders are noted below.

Article 2 commences certain sections in Part 5 (tobacco, nicotine products and smoking) of the 2014 Act for the purposes of making orders or regulations only, on 1st October 2014.
