Made: 29th September 2014

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 6(5) and (6) of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014[^f00001].

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Commencement No.1) (Amendment and Consequential Amendments) Order 2014.

Amendment

In article 2 of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Commencement No.1) Order 2014[^f00002], for “1st October” substitute “1st November”.

Consequential amendments

Wherever it appears in articles 3, 5, 6 and 7 of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2014[^f00003]—

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the day appointed for the commencement of specified sections of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (“the 2014 Act”) by article 2 of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act (Commencement No.1) Order 2014 (S.I. 2014/2444). The effect of this amendment is that the 2014 Act will now commence on 1st November 2014.

The Order also amends the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2014 (S.I.2014/1641) in consequence of the change to the day appointed for the commencement of specified sections of the 2014 Act.
