The Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008 (Revocation) Order 2014

Her Majesty, in pursuance of the powers conferred on Her by sections 60 (other than subsection (3)(r)), 61(1) and (2), 77, 101, and 102(1) and (2) of, and Schedule 13 to, the Civil Aviation Act 1982[^f00001], as extended to the Bailiwick of Jersey by the Civil Aviation Act 1982 (Jersey) Order 1990[^f00002], and section 35 of the Airports Act 1986[^f00003], as extended to the Bailiwick of Jersey by the Airports Act 1986 (Jersey) Order 2000[^f00004], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008 (Revocation) Order 2014 and shall come into force on the date of coming into force of the Air Navigation (Jersey) Law 2014.
Revocation of the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008 and savings of Rules of the Air (Jersey) Order 2000 and licences, etc.

The Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008[^f00005] is revoked but–
- (a) the Rules of the Air (Jersey) Order 2000[^f00006] continued under the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008 remain in force as if made under Article 46 of the Air Navigation (Jersey) Law 2014 until new Rules of the Air are made under that Law; and
- (b) any licence, permission or approval or other authorization granted by the Director of Civil Aviation under the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008, as that Order has effect in Jersey, shall continue in force as if granted by the Director of Civil Aviation under the Air Navigation (Jersey) Law 2014.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order revokes the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2008 (S.I. 2008/2562), which extended to Jersey, subject to exceptions, adaptations and modifications, the Air Navigation Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/1970). The 2008 Order has been superseded by the Air Navigation (Jersey) Law 2014. However, any licence, permission or approval or other authorization granted under the 2008 Order is preserved, as is the Rules of the Air (Jersey) Order 2000 (R&O 13/2000).
