The Secretary of State now makes the following Regulations.
Citation and Commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Curriculum (Exceptions for First, Second, Third and Fourth Key Stages) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st September 2015.
Amendment to the National Curriculum (Exceptions for First, Second, Third and Fourth Key Stages) (England) Regulations 2013

After regulation 2(4) of the National Curriculum (Exceptions for First, Second, Third and Fourth Key Stages)(England) Regulations 2013[^f00003] insert—
(5) The programme of study specified in relation to science for the fourth key stage does not apply in relation to— (a) any pupil during the school year 2015 to 2016; or (b) any pupil in the final year of the fourth key stage during the school year 2016 to 2017.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations amend the National Curriculum (Exceptions for First, Second, Third and Fourth Key Stages) (England) Regulations 2013 which, amongst other things, make provision for the programme of study for science to be disapplied for the fourth key stage for the school years 2013 to 2014 and 2014 to 2015.
These Regulations provide for the programme of study for science to be further disapplied for the fourth key stage for the school year 2015 to 2016; and for year 11 pupils for the school year 2016 to 2017.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
