The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 139(3) of the Children and Families Act 2014[^f00001]:

This Order may be cited as the Children and Families Act 2014 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2014.
Provisions coming into force on 22nd April 2014

The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 10, 13 and 17 of the Children and Families Act 2014 is 22nd April 2014.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings sections 10 (Family mediation information and assessment meetings), 13 (Control of expert evidence, and of assessments, in children proceedings) and 17 (Repeal of restrictions on divorce and dissolution etc where there are children) of the Children and Families Act 2014 into force on 22nd April 2014.
