The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Mesothelioma Act 2014[^f00001].
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st July 2014.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations substitute the table in Schedule 4 to the Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014. This has the effect of increasing the level of payments made under the scheme for each age category by an average £8000.
An impact assessment has been published which considers the impact of this change in the level of payments made under the scheme on the private sector or on civil society, a copy of which is available at:
