The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 134 and 135 of, and paragraph 1 of Schedule 26 to, the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980[^f00001], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Urban Development Corporations in England (Area and Constitution) Order 2014 and shall come into force on 31st March 2014.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order revokes the Orders which established the urban development areas in Thurrock, the London Thames Gateway and West Northamptonshire and which designated urban development corporations for those areas.

No Impact Assessment has been prepared for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen
