Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations prescribe courses of higher education for the purpose of section 79(c) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 in relation to the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Section 79(c) imposes a duty on the governing body of any institution at which prescribed courses of higher education are or have been provided to give the Higher Education Funding Councils such information as required by the Councils.
Regulation 3 of these Regulations revokes the Education (Prescribed Courses of Higher Education) (Information Requirements) (England) Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/2179).
An impact assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations as they have no impact on the costs of business, charities or voluntary bodies. The Explanatory Memorandum is published alongside the instrument on www.legislation.gov.uk.
