Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State is a Minister designated[^f00001] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[^f00002] in relation to the environmental aspects of product design and makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2617) (“the 2010 Regulations”) and the Energy Information Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1524) (“the 2011 Regulations”) and partially implement Commission Regulations (EU) Nos 548/2014 and 1253/2014, and Commission Delegated Regulations (EU) No 1254/2014 as follows—

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
