Made: 25th March 2015

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 121(1) of the Energy Act 2011[^f00001], makes the following Order.

The provisions of the Act specified in the Schedule come into force on 26th March 2015.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 26th March 2015 the provisions of Chapter 2 of Part 1 (sections 42 to 53) of the Energy Act 2011 listed in the Schedule. These provisions relate to energy efficiency in the Private Rented Sector in England and Wales.

This Order also brings into force on 26th March 2015 the provisions of Part 4 (sections 115 and 116) of the Energy Act 2011. These provisions provide additional powers to the Coal Authority by inserting two new sections into the Coal Industry Act 1994.
