The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 75(3) of the Immigration Act 2014[^f00001], makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Immigration Act 2014 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2016.

Provisions coming into force on 1st February 2016

The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Immigration Act 2014 is 1st February 2016 in respect of premises located in England so far as not already in force—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order is the sixth commencement order made under the Immigration Act 2014.

Article 2 brings into force on 1st February 2016 certain provisions in Chapter 1 of Part 3 (residential tenancies) in respect of premises in England so far as not already in force. Those same provisions were previously brought into force in respect of premises in the areas of five local authorities in England by [S.I. 2014/2771](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/2771).
