In accordance with section 13A(1) of that Act, the Secretary of State has published and laid before Parliament the mandate[^f00002].
Citation, commencement and expiry

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Mandate Requirements) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 1st April 2016.
- (2) These Regulations cease to have effect at the end of 31st March 2017.
Mandate requirements

The requirements set out in paragraph 6.2 of the Annex in the mandate to the National Health Service Commissioning Board[^f00003] published by the Secretary of State on 17th December 2015 and laid before Parliament on that date[^f00004] have effect.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
Regulation 2 of these Regulations gives effect to the requirements set out in the Secretary of State’s mandate to the National Health Service Commissioning Board for the financial year from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017. The mandate was laid before Parliament and published on 17th December 2015.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
