The Education (Postgraduate Master’s Degree Loans) (Amendment) Regulations 2016

The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 22 and 42(6) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998[^f00001], makes the following Regulation:

Citation, commencement and extent

• (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Postgraduate Master’s Degree Loans) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 27th June 2016.

• (2) These Regulations have the same extent as the provision that they amend.

Amendment to the Education (Postgraduate Master’s Degree Loans) Regulations 2016

• (1) The Education (Postgraduate Master’s Degree Loans) Regulations 2016[^f00002] are amended as follows.

• (2) In paragraph 13(1)(a)(ii)(bb) of Schedule 1, for “twenty-two years” substitute “twenty years”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations correct an error in the Education (Postgraduate Master’s Degree Loans) Regulations 2016. The effect of the correction is that the reference in paragraph 13(1)(a)(ii)(bb) of Schedule 1 is to twenty years in place of twenty-two years.

These Regulations have the same extent as the provisions that they amend.
