The Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 25) Order 2017
Made: 30th October 2017
The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 125(3) of the Environment Act 1995[^f00001].
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 25) Order 2017.
Provisions coming into force

The following provisions of the Environment Act 1995 come into force on 1st January 2018—
- (a) section 116 (application of certain other enactments to the Crown) so far as it relates to the provisions set out in paragraph (b);
- (b) paragraph 2 of Schedule 21 (application of certain enactments to the Crown) so far as not already in force.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force, on 1st January 2018, paragraph 2 of Schedule 21 to the Environment Act 1995 (c. 25) for all remaining purposes. That paragraph substitutes section 222 of the Water Resources Act 1991 (c. 57) to provide that the provisions of that Act, including Part 2, bind the Crown.
Animpact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant,impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
