The Secretary of State, having received a request from the constituent authorities[^f00001] to revoke the West Northamptonshire Joint Committee Order 2008, in exercise of the power conferred by section 31(2) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004[^f00002], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the West Northamptonshire Joint Committee (Revocation) Order 2017 and comes into force on 1st January 2018.

The West Northamptonshire Joint Committee Order 2008[^f00003] is revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order revokes the West Northamptonshire Joint Committee Order 2008 (“the 2008 Order”) which established a Joint Strategic Planning Committee for West Northamptonshire, with the constituent authorities of Northamptonshire County Council, Northampton Borough Council, Daventry District Council and South Northamptonshire District Council. This Order revokes the 2008 Order, at the request of the constituent authorities, resulting in the dissolution of the joint committee.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been prepared as this instrument will have no impact on the costs of business or the voluntary sector.
