The Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2017

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 6(5) of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014[^f00001].
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2017.
Appointed day
2
The appointed day for the coming into force of section 2 of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 is 31st January 2017.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings section 2 of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 into force on 31st January 2017. Section 2 confers powers on the Secretary of State to make regulations so as to secure the horserace betting levy is payable by bookmakers required to hold a remote operating licence.
