Made: 23rd February 2017

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 70(2) of the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017[^f00001], makes the following Regulations:

Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 (Commencement) Regulations 2017.

Commencement

Section 11 of and Schedule 14 (amendments to this Act consequential on the Housing and Planning Act 2016[^f00002]) to the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 come into force on the day after the day these Regulations are made.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These are the first and only Commencement Regulations under the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Act 2017 (“the Act”). All other provisions came into force on the passing of the Act.

Regulation 2 commences section 11 and Schedule 14 of the Act which provide for amendments to the Act that are consequential on the Housing and Planning Act 2016.
