The National Health Service (Mandate Requirements) Regulations 2017

Coming into force: 10th April 2017
In accordance with section 13A(1) of that Act, the Secretary of State has published and laid before Parliament the mandate[^f00002].
Citation, commencement and expiry

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Mandate Requirements) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 10th April 2017.
- (2) These Regulations cease to have effect at the end of 31st March 2018.
Mandate requirements

The requirements set out in paragraph 1.6 of the mandate to the National Health Service Commissioning Board[^f00003] and paragraph 6.2 of the Annex in that mandate, published by the Secretary of State on 20th March 2017 and laid before Parliament on that date[^f00004] have effect.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
Regulation 2 of these Regulations gives effect to the requirements set out in the Secretary of State’s mandate to the National Health Service Commissioning Board for the financial year from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018. The mandate was published and laid before Parliament on 20 March 2017.
The mandate is published at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-mandate-2017-to-2018. A hard copy can be obtained by writing to the Department of Health, 79 Whitehall, London, SW1A 2NS.
No impact assessment has been produced for these Regulations as they have no impact on the private sector and civil society organisations, and no significant effect on the public sector.
