The Secretary of State, having been designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to the environment, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of that Act and having taken into account the selection criteria in Annex III to Council Directive 2011/92/EU , makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Infrastructure Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 16th May 2017.
