At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 10th day of October 2018Present,The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 34(2) and (3) of the Antarctic Act 1994[^f00001] and 18(2)(b) of the Antarctic Act 2013[^f00002], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows.

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Antarctic Act 1994 (Guernsey) (Amendment) Order 2018 and comes into force on the day after it is registered by the Royal Court of Guernsey.

Amendment of the Antarctic Act 1994 (Guernsey) Order 1995

In article 2 of the Antarctic Act 1994 (Guernsey) Order 1995[^f00003] after “the Antarctic Act 1994” insert “as amended by sections 14 to 16 of the Antarctic Act 2013”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the Antarctic Act 1994 (Guernsey) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/1033), which extended the Antarctic Act 1994 (c. 15) to the Bailiwick of Guernsey with certain modifications, to extend to the Bailiwick of Guernsey the amendments made to that Act by Part 2 of the Antarctic Act 2013 (c. 15).

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
