In accordance with section 25(3) of that Act, the Secretary of State has completed the consultation required by regulation 2(2) of the National Health Service Trusts (Consultation on Establishment and Dissolution) Regulations 2010[^f00002].
Citation, commencement and interpretation

- (1) This Order may be cited as The Nottingham University Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) and the Nottingham City Hospital National Health Service Trust and the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, University Hospital National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) (Amendment) Order 2019 and comes into force on 24th June 2019.
- (2) In this Order, “the Establishment Order” means The Nottingham University Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) and the Nottingham City Hospital National Health Service Trust and the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, University Hospital National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2006[^f00003].
Amendment of Article 4 of the Establishment Order

For article 4(1) of the Establishment Order (directors of the trust), substitute—
(4) (1) The trust must have, in addition to the chairman, 5 executive directors and 7 non-executive directors.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends The Nottingham University Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) and the Nottingham City Hospital National Health Service Trust and the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, University Hospital National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2006, which established the Nottingham University Hospitals National Health Service Trust (“the trust”).
Article 2 increases the number of non-executive directors that the trust must have from 5 to 7.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no effect on private sector or civil society organisations, and no significant effect on the public sector.
