The Power to Award Degrees etc. (BPP University Limited) Order of Council 2013 (Amendment) Order 2019

Coming into force: 1st September 2019
The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017[^f00001], makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (BPP University Limited) Order of Council 2013 (Amendment) Order 2019 and shall come into force on 1st September 2019.
Variation of Power to Award Degrees etc. (BPP University Limited) Order of Council 2013

- (1) The Power to Award Degrees etc. (BPP University Limited) Order of Council 2013 is varied in accordance with paragraph (2).
- (2) For paragraph 2, substitute—
(2) BPP University Limited shall be competent to grant awards of the kind mentioned in paragraph (a) of section 76(2) of the said Act for a fixed seven- year term beginning on 1st September 2013 and expiring on 31st August 2020.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order, made under section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, provides for a variation of the Power to Award Degrees etc. (BPP University Limited) Order of Council 2013, so that BPP University Limited’s existing Degree Awarding Powers authorisation remain valid until 31st August 2020. This Order will come into force on 1st September 2019.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
