In accordance with section 3(5) of that Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury.
Citation and commencement

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2019.
- (2) These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2019.
Amendment to the Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations 2014

- (1) The Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations 2014[^f00002] are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).
- (2) In the heading above the final table in regulation 134 (rate of member contributions), after “31st March 2019” insert “and Scheme Year 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020”.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/1964) make provision for the contributions payable by members of that scheme up to 31st March 2019. These Regulations provide for the contribution rates applicable in the scheme year ending on that date also to apply for the following year. Since these Regulations involve a change to a protected element of the scheme, the Minister for the Civil Service has consulted representatives of those likely to be affected by the change with a view to reaching agreement and has laid a report before Parliament.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
