Her Majesty, in pursuance of paragraph 4(1)(a) of Schedule 3 to the Charities Act 2011[^f00001], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Exempt Charities Order 2019 and shall come into force on 14th March 2019.

The Royal Agricultural University is hereby declared to be an exempt charity for the purposes of the Charities Act 2011.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order declares The Royal Agricultural University to be an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 2011 with effect from 14th March 2019. An exempt charity cannot be registered with the Charity Commission and the Commission cannot exercise any powers under the Act in relation to an exempt charity except:
it may exercise advisory and permissive powers at the charity’s request, following consultation with any principal regulator appointed under the Charities Act 2011;
ii) it may open a statutory inquiry and use powers to act for the protection of charities at the invitation of any principal regulator appointed under the Charities Act.
