In Schedule 2 to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (High) (England) Regulations 2020, omit “Warrington Borough Council”.

(5) (1) The businesses and services in this sub-paragraph are restricted businesses and restricted services in those areas listed in Schedule 2 in relation to Cheshire— (a) betting shops and adult gaming centres; (b) casinos; (c) soft play areas and soft play centres. (2) Paragraph 17(1) of Schedule 1 and sub-paragraph (1)(c) do not prevent the use of soft play areas and soft play centres by persons with a disability within the meaning of paragraph 11(4) of Schedule 1.

(da) regulation 8(9)(b)(iii) or (iv), 10(3)(b), 10(14)(a) or 11 of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Bolton) Regulations 2020;

(ca) regulation 8(9)(b)(iii) or (iv), 10(3)(b), 10(14)(a) or 11 of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Bolton) Regulations 2020;

(c) the gathering takes place— (i) at premises, other than a private dwelling, which are operated by a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution or a public body, (ii) at premises, other than a private dwelling, which are part of premises used for the operation of a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution or a public body, or (iii) in a public outdoor place not falling within sub-paragraph (i) or (ii), and

(c) a person has a disability if that person has an impairment that falls within paragraph 11(4);

(aa) regulation 8(9)(b), 10(3)(b), 10(13) or 11 of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Leicester) (No. 2) Regulations 2020;

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations subject the area of Warrington Borough Council to the restrictions set out in the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (Very High) (England) Regulations 2020 (the “Very High Regulations”) and make corresponding amendments to remove Warrington from the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (High) (England) Regulations 2020. They impose closures on additional businesses in that area.

They also make a number of minor corrections to the Very High Regulations, the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (Medium) (England) Regulations 2020, and the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (High) (England) Regulations 2020.

No impact assessment has been prepared for these Regulations.
