The Power to Award Degrees etc. (The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd) Order 2020

Made: 18th December 2020

Coming into force: 27th September 2021

The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017[^f00001], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd) Order 2020 and shall come into force on 27th September 2021.

Competence to grant awards

The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd (registered company number 11082840) shall be competent to grant the following specified taught awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(b) of the said Act:

• (1) MASc in Interdisciplinary Practice;

• (2) PGDip in Interdisciplinary Practice;

• (3) PGCert in Interdisciplinary Practice;

• (4) BASc (Hons) in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods;

• (5) BASc in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods;

• (6) DipHE in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods;

• (7) CertHE in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods;

• (8) MASc in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods;

• (9) PGDip in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods; and

• (10) PGCert in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods.

The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd shall only be competent to grant the specified taught awards mentioned in article 2 of this Order for a fixed term beginning on 27th September 2021 and expiring on 31st December 2024.

The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd shall only grant the awards specified in article 2 of this Order to persons enrolled with it at the time they complete the course of study for which the award is granted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order, made under section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 authorises The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd with the power to award specified taught awards for a fixed term expiring on 31st December 2024. This Order will come into force on 27th September 2021.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
