The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017[^f00001], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Hull College Group) Order of Council 2015 (Amendment) Order 2021 and shall come into force on 1st January 2022.

Variation of Power to Award Degrees etc (Hull College Group) Order of Council 2015

(1) The Power to Award Degrees etc (Hull College Group) Order of Council 2015 is varied in accordance with paragraph (2).

(2) For article 2, substitute—

(2) Hull College Group shall be competent to grant awards of the kind mentioned in paragraph 2A of section 76 of the said Act for a fixed seven- year term beginning on 1st January 2016 and expiring on 31st December 2022.

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order, made under section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, provides for a variation of the Power to Award Degrees etc (Hull College Group) Order of Council 2015, so that Hull College Group’s existing Degree Awarding Powers authorisation remain valid until 31st December 2022. This Order will come into force on 1st January 2022.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
