The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Entry to Venues and Events) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021

In accordance with section 45R of that Act the Secretary of State is of the opinion that, by reason of urgency, it is necessary to make this instrument without a draft having been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.

Citation, commencement, extent and application

• (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Entry to Venues and Events) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021.

• (2) These Regulations come into force at 6.00 a.m. on 15th December 2021.

• (3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, and apply in relation to England.

Amendment of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Entry to Venues and Events) (England) Regulations 2021

• (1) The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Entry to Venues and Events) (England) Regulations 2021 are amended as follows.

• (2) In regulation 4(8)(b)—

• (a) in paragraph (i), for “(5) and (6)” substitute “(4) and (5)”;

• (b) in paragraph (ii), for “(5), (6) and (7)” substitute “(4), (5) and (6)”.

• (3) In regulation 6(4), for “29th December” substitute “31st December”.

• (4) In regulation 18, in the opening words, after “14(1)” insert “, 17(3)(b)”.
