The Power to Award Degrees etc. (Dyson Technical Training Limited) (Amendment) Order 2021

The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 42(1) and 44(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017[^f00001], makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Dyson Technical Training Limited) (Amendment) Order 2021 and shall come into force on 1st January 2022.
Variation of Power to Award Degrees etc. (Dyson Technical Training Limited) Order 2020

- (1) The Power to Award Degrees etc. (Dyson Technical Training Limited) Order 2020 is varied in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).
- (2) For article 2, substitute—
(2) Dyson Technical Training Limited shall be competent to grant the following specified taught awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(b) of the said Act: (a) BEng in Engineering; (b) BEng (Hons) in Engineering; (c) BEng (Hons) in Engineering Degree Apprenticeship; (d) CertHE in Engineering; and (e) DipHE in Engineering.
- (3) In articles 3 and 4, substitute the word “paragraph” with the word “article”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order, made under sections 42(1) and 44(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, provides for a variation of the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Dyson Technical Training Limited) Order 2020, so that Dyson Technical Training Limited is authorised to award the specified taught awards mentioned in article 2 of this Order for a fixed term expiring on 30th November 2024. This Order will come into force on 1st January 2022.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
