Her Majesty by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 2(1)(za) of Schedule 9 to the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009[^f00001], makes the following Order:
Citation and Commencement

This Order may be cited as the Chief Regulator of Qualifications and Examinations Order 2021 and comes into force on 14th January 2021.
Appointment of chief executive of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations

Simon Lebus is appointed as the chief executive of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation and is to be known as the Chief Regulator of Qualifications and Examinations, from 14th January 2021.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order appoints Simon Lebus to the role of chief executive of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, which is established by section 127 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. In accordance with paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 9 to that Act, the person appointed to that position is to be known as the Chief Regulator of Qualifications and Examinations.
