The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2020[^f00001], make the following Order:

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2020 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2021.

Commencement on 14th July 2021

Sections 1(4) and (5) of the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2020 come into force on 14th July 2021.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This is the second Commencement Order bringing into force provisions of the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2020.

The Order brings section 1(4) and (5) (which provide a definition of “religious community” by reference to recently enacted Canonical provision) into force on 14th July 2021.
