Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations impose restrictions of an emergency nature on flying in the airspace above the United Kingdom or its territorial sea, by aircraft operating scheduled services by or on behalf of Belavia Belarusian Airlines. They are intended to be of temporary duration and will be revoked as soon as it is deemed appropriate to do so.

In relation to the permission mentioned in regulation 2(2)(a), this can be obtained by contacting the Department of Transport on 0300 330 3000 during the hours of 0830 to 1730 Monday to Friday, emailing dutyofficers@dft.gov.uk.outside of these times, or by writing to contactdft@dft.gov.uk.
