In accordance with paragraph 6(1) of Schedule 5 to that Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Amendment of references to the Trade and Cooperation Agreement in the Act

In the provisions of the Act specified in column (1) of the table in the Schedule, the references to the Trade and Cooperation Agreement specified in column (2) are substituted with the references specified in column (3).

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Regulation 2 and the Schedule amend the European Union (Future Relationship) Act 2020 (c. 29) (“the Act”) to amend and update references in that Act to provisions of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (as defined in section 37 of the Act). Regulation 3 makes similar amendments to instruments amended by the Act.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen.
