Coming into force: 20th December 2022

Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the International Development Association (Twentieth Replenishment) Order 2022 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

The Secretary of State may, on behalf of the Government—

in accordance with section 11 of the International Development Act 2002.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order approves the making of payments on behalf of the Government of the United Kingdom to the International Development Association of sums not exceeding £1,414,000,000 as a further contribution to the resources of the International Development Association. The payment approved by this Order will be made pursuant to arrangements made between the Government and the Association in accordance with resolution No. 248 adopted by the Board of Governors of the Association on 31st March 2022. The Order also provides for the redemption of non-interest-bearing and non-negotiable notes by the Secretary of State pursuant to those arrangements.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
