Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the M271 Motorway (Junction 1 to Redbridge Roundabout) (Fixed Speed Limits) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into force on 22nd March 2022.

Amendment of Regulations

In regulation 4(b) of the M271 Motorway (Junction 1 to Redbridge Roundabout) (Fixed Speed Limits) Regulations 2021[^f00002] for “80 metres” substitute “135 metres”.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the M271 Motorway (Junction 1 to Redbridge Roundabout) (Fixed Speed Limits) Regulations 2021 to provide that the 50 mph speed limit on the southbound on-slip road at Junction 1 starts 55 metres nearer to its merger with the southbound carriageway.

An impact assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations as no significant impact on the cost of business or the voluntary sector is foreseen. An Explanatory Memorandum is published alongside the Regulations at www.legislation.gov.uk.
