Coming into force: with immediate effect

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016[^f00001].

Citation and Commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Belarusian Aircraft) (Revocation) Regulations 2022 and they come into force with immediate effect.

Revocation of Regulations

The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Belarusian Aircraft) Regulations 2021[^f00002] are revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations revoke the statutory instrument which imposed restrictions on the flying in United Kingdom airspace, including in the airspace above the United Kingdom’s territorial sea, by aircraft on scheduled services which are owned, chartered or operated by a person connected with Belarus, or which are registered in Belarus (S.I. 2021/1475). Those Regulations are no longer considered necessary and are revoked.
