The Power to Award Degrees etc. (Multiverse Group Limited) Order 2022

Coming into force: 1st September 2022

The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017[^f00001], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Multiverse Group Limited) Order 2022 and shall come into force on 1st September 2022.

Competence to grant awards

Multiverse Group Limited shall be competent to grant the following specified taught awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(b) of the said Act:

• (a) BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions (Data);

• (b) BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions (Digital Transformation);

• (c) BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineering);

• (d) CertHE in Digital and Technology Solutions (Data);

• (e) CertHE in Digital and Technology Solutions (Digital Transformation);

• (f) CertHE in Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineering);

• (g) DipHE in Digital and Technology Solutions (Data);

• (h) DipHE in Digital and Technology Solutions (Digital Transformation); and

• (i) DipHE in Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineering).

Multiverse Group Limited shall only be competent to grant the specified taught awards mentioned in paragraph 2 of this Order for a fixed term beginning on 1st September 2022 and expiring on 1st December 2025.

Multiverse Group Limited shall only grant the awards specified in paragraph 2 of this Order to persons enrolled with it at the time they complete the course of study for which the award is granted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order, made under section 42(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 authorises Multiverse Group Limited with the power to award specified taught awards for a three-year and three-month fixed term expiring on 1st December 2025. This Order will come into force on 1st September 2022.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
