The Flood and Water Management Act 2010 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2024
Made: 11th January 2024
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 49(3)(a) of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010[^f00001].
Citation and extent

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2024.
- (2) This Order extends to England and Wales.
Provisions coming into force

The following provisions of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, so far as not already commenced, come into force on the day after the day on which this Order is made—
- (a) section 34 (special administration) so far as it relates to paragraphs 3 and 5 of Schedule 5, and
- (b) paragraphs 3 and 5 of Schedule 5 (special administration).

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force provisions of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
Article 2 specifies provisions of the Act that come into force, so far as not already commenced, on the day after the day on which this Order is made. The specified provisions relate to the special administration regime for water companies and include amendments to the Water Industry Act [1991 (c. 56)](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1991/56).
