The Treasury make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(1) and (5) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000[^f00001].

Citation, commencement and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Commodity Derivatives and Emission Allowances) (Amendment) Order 2024.

(2) This Order comes into force on 31st December 2024.

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

In article 2 (amendment of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Commodity Derivatives and Emission Allowances) Order 2023[^f00002], omit paragraphs (2) to (4).

Explanatory Note

This Order omits amendments to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001 (S.I. 2001/544), relating to the repeal of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/592, in the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Commodity Derivatives and Emission Allowances) Order 2023 (S.I. 2023/548) (“the Order”). The Order is not yet in force.
