In accordance with section 39(3) of the Act, the Welsh Ministers, the Scottish Ministers and the Northern Ireland department[^f00002] have consented to the making of these Regulations.
Citation, commencement and extent

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ivory Prohibitions (Exemptions) (Process and Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.
- (2) These Regulations come into force on 15th May 2025.
- (3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Amendment to the Ivory Prohibitions (Exemptions) (Process and Procedure) Regulations 2022

- (1) The Ivory Prohibitions (Exemptions) (Process and Procedure) Regulations 2022[^f00003] are amended as follows.
- (2) In the Schedule (prescribed institutions), in paragraph 1, after sub-paragraph (i), insert—
; (j) National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside; (k) National Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland; (l) National Museum of Wales

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations amend the Schedule to the Ivory Prohibitions (Exemptions) (Process and Procedure) Regulations 2022 (S.I. 2022/94) to prescribe three additional institutions that the Secretary of State considers possess the necessary knowledge and expertise to provide him with advice on applications for exemption certificates under the Ivory Act 2018 (c. 30).
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
